This three-hour walking tour encompasses the origins of Florence, and how and why the Renaissance began in this fascinating city.
See remnants of the Roman origins of the city, and learn about the artists of the early 1400s who achieved astonishing breakthroughs in painting, sculpting and architecture. As we walk through the most important parts of the city center, I will share stories about the artists who kick-started the Renaissance as we stop at different locations to admire what they achieved.
This tour will provide you with an orientation to the city center, as well as to the Renaissance history of Florence, preparing you for continued exploration during your stay.
