A two-hour walk in the beautiful hills of Florence
Enjoy the peace of timeless lanes, and silvery olive trees beyond ancient stone walls. We will pass impressive Renaissance villas, and charming countryside churches, and pause to admire views of the Duomo far below. Depending which route we take, you will be able to see the villa where Galileo lived under house arrest, or the villa where Florence Nightingale was born.
This is the perfect way to beat the crowds, exercise in fresh air, and immerse yourself in a classic Renaissance landscape.
You will have my exclusive attention and can ask me questions ranging from Florence’s history, where to eat, or where to travel to next in Italy.
This tour can be tailored to your ability. We can go for only one hour and take roads that are not as steep if you prefer. If you travel with trekking poles, feel free to bring them. Using trekking poles upgrades your exercise and burns between 20 and 45 percent more calories than a normal brisk walk. Otherwise just enjoy a brisk walk that will allow you to feel justified getting a second scoop of gelato!
An unforgettable walk in poetic landscapes with great photo opportunities.
Level: some roads are steep but overall the level is moderate
