The Via Francigena (fran-CHEE-jee-nah), is an ancient pilgrimage route that begins in Canterbury England, and goes to Rome, Italy. I walked it when it was relatively unknown and wrote a memoir about the experience. I now live in a part of Tuscany that this pilgrimage route passes through. The development of the route is in full swing and fun “get out there and walk” activities on the route happen frequently.
I am available to lead you and a small group of your friends, on the prettiest parts of the Via Francigena for 2 or 3 days. Why not add something off the beaten path to your next Italy itinerary? Get exercise and see the glorious countryside of Tuscany from a nice slow savoring pace.
